2015, has quite possibly been the most memorable year of my life, both personally and professionally. Reflecting on the past year, there are many experiences that stand out and make me feel all sorts of warm + fuzzy inside. Starting my own business (my biggest accomplishment to date) is absolutely the reason I'll never forget 2015. Everything that followed was beyond my expectations and beneficial in ways I'm still discovering.
Professionally, I've had the pleasure of working with the best crews and clients on over 20 projects. It's been wonderful developing many relationships that will last a life-time! I passed my first NKBA certification exam and accepted the position of Treasurer for our local National Kitchen & Bath chapter. I also had the opportunity to travel to Chicago (twice) to learn from the best at Jenn Air and GE Monogram.
Personally, I enjoyed spending time exploring the Pacific Northwest with family & friends. From the Olympic Peninsula, to Lake Chelan and Leavenworth, and down the Oregon Coast, there is so much beauty it's hard to believe that I'm lucky enough to live in the middle of it all.
Spoiled myself with trips to San Fransisco and New Orleans, both places that have inspired me and instilled a sense of spontaneity and lust for adventure. Love the people, arts, food & music both cities have to offer! I even found time to make it back to Iowa twice this year. It always feels good going "home" to recharge / reflect on how far I've come + how far I plan to go.
Thank you to everyone who has helped my business grow. 2016 is promising to be another successful year with many more adventures! In the words of C.S. Lewis, you are never to old to set another goal, or dream a new dream.
Best wishes to you and yours in the new year!
